H&S Chemical Co. Inc. is a specialty chemical company manufacturing fluorinated, chlorinated and iodinated compounds such as: Chloramine-T, Trichloromelamine, Methyl Fluoride, Hydriodic Acid and other specialty Iodides. H&S has U.S. EPA registered sanitizer/disinfectant products for use on food contact surfaces.

H&S was founded on August 30, 1983 by Dr. Charles A. Schneider as a consulting and R&D company. The Company initially started as a 50/50 joint venture between HVC Chemical and Dr. Schneider. The business began operations on Murray Road in Cincinnati, Ohio. Research and development led to a proprietary line of specialty chemicals and unique manufacturing processes. During the middle to late 1980's, H&S researched and developed more than 35 specialty products and currently maintains a specialty line of disinfectants including several EPA registrations, antiseptic products and other specialty chemicals.

In 1992 the remaining half of the business was purchased by Dr. Schneider who is now the sole owner of the company. The current customer base ranges from very small privately held companies to large Fortune 500 companies and the U.S. Military.

Because of our growth over the past 5 years and the kinds of products being developed, H&S found it necessary to relocate from the Cincinnati facility to new facilities located in the Enterprise Zone of Northern Kentucky. This location is about 10 miles south of downtown Cincinnati and 7 miles from the International Airport. These new facilities consist of two 1997 constructed buildings on 5.6 acres with an expanded R&D lab, quality control and analytical labs, offices and manufacturing.

In late 1999 construction was started on another building which will more than double the manufacturing and corporate offices . The facility is now being outfitted with equipment and labs.

Also, in 1999 H&S Chemical joined SOCMA and is a part of the ChemStewards Program.

The H&S success story has been built on a foundation of sound science and fiscally responsible management. Our commitment remains the same as our product line and technology grow, always keeping the customers needs as the number one focus.
